Bargetto Winery's 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon has grapes from the Peter Martin Ray Vineyard, which is situated atop of the Santa Cruz Mountains overlooking the South Bay. This vineyard was part of the property made famous by Martin Ray post prohibition. Martin ray was one of the pioneers of single varietal wine makers of the late 1930's. The 2007 wine made from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes shows aromas of dark berry fruit and anise. The tannin structure is very present without being astringent. This wine will age very well over the next 5 years.
