Our 2013 LA VITA, Santa Cruz Mountains, was awarded 92 points and Cellar Selection ($60)
Each year, our signature LA VITA blend is comprised of the same Northern Italian grapes grown at Regan Vineyards; Dolcetto, Nebbiolo, and Refosco. From vintage to vintage, the percentage of each is ever-changing. In 2013, the blend of 41% Dolcetto, 33% Refosco, and 26% Nebbiolo is what made this award-winner full, rich, ripe, and complex! Aged a lengthy 30 months in fine oak barrels, it is no surprise this wine is full of flavor and will continue to get better as its rich tannins soften and its bouquet develops.
Part of the proceeds from the sale of LA VITA goes to a non-profit organization in Santa Cruz County. We are pleased to be able to, in a formal way, give back some of the proceeds to the Santa Cruz community, which has been so supportive to BARGETTO WINERY and the Bargetto family through the years. Proceeds from the 2013 LA VITA are going to the Soquel High School Scholarship Fund.
